The Nugent Group consists of several companies with a total of 6 locations, currently employing approximately 350 people. The headquarters is in Dungannon Galbally—County Tyrone—where trailers and agricultural machinery are manufactured. At three other locations, trucks are equipped with various superstructures, such as crane trucks, concrete mixers, recovery vehicles, and heavy-duty cranes; there is also a separate location for the distribution of all parts and a location specializing in special assembly materials.
Nugent is a family-owned business founded in the 1980s by Sean Nugent as a manufacturer of agricultural machinery and hoof trimming boxes.
In the early 1990s, sons Shane and Damien took over the company and expanded it further. Trailer production began in the early 1990s with the construction of livestock trailers, and due to their exceptional quality, demand grew for the production of other types of trailers as well. Today, over 8,000 trailers are produced annually and distributed throughout Europe, New Zealand, and Australia.
In the United Kingdom, Ireland, the Benelux, Germany, and France, Nugent works with an extensive dealer network, while in all other countries it collaborates with importers; Nugent also operates its own distribution centers in Ireland and the United Kingdom.
Nugent’s trailer range includes livestock trailers, horse trailers, dump trailers, machine transporters, box trucks, car transporters, flatbed trailers, beavertail trailers, and ATV trailers.
